Tom Stowe - District Councillor - Campden & Vale
Tom lives in Mickleton, where he was also brought up, with his wife Rachel, three young sons and dog. Tom was recently elected as district councillor for Campden and Vale ward in a hotly contested by-election. Since then he has been very active in the community attending local Parish and Town Council meetings and meeting local residents. He recently led the battle to save the iconic Cedar Tree in Mickleton when Bromford Housing attempted to fell it, and is working hard on preventing fly-tipping in the North Cotswolds. He has a keen interest in economic and rural development and creating the right environment for SMEs to thrive.
In his younger days, Tom played football for Campden Town FC and other local teams. He now spends most weekends organising coaching for 320 young people at Stratford Rugby Club where he is a Director and Chairman of the Mini and Junior Section. He coaches a county junior team; is a qualified Rugby Union referee and has been nominated as “RFU Volunteer of the Year”four years running.
He is Managing Director of the family business, Vale Press, in Willersey employing nearly fifty people. In his downtime Tom runs cross-country on our local Cotswold hills to keep-fit and occasionally has time to relax by cooking; brewing his own beer and watching classic Ealing comedy films
